Job Description
Role Summary: We are seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Derrickman to join our team. The Derrickman will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the derrick and associated equipment, ensuring efficient and safe drilling operations. This role requires a strong understanding of drilling systems and a commitment to upholding safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the derrick, drawworks, hoisting equipment, and other drilling machinery.
- Assist the driller in managing the drill string and hoisting operations.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and perform routine inspections and maintenance.
- Monitor drilling operations and report any abnormalities or potential hazards to the driller.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the drill floor.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the driller or supervisor.
