Derrickman

Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Derrickman to join our operational team. The Derrickman will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the derrick and associated equipment, ensuring smooth workflow during production and maintenance activities. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and mechanical systems within a media production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the derrick and its associated lifting and hoisting equipment.
- Ensure all lifting operations are conducted safely and in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Monitor the condition of the derrick and equipment, reporting any defects or potential issues promptly.
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of derrick structures for various production needs.
- Coordinate with riggers and other crew members to ensure efficient material handling.
- Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on derrick machinery.
- Maintain accurate logs of derrick operations, including loads lifted and hours of operation.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and participate in safety training programs.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues related to the derrick system.
