Derrickman

Role Summary:
The Derrickman is responsible for assisting the driller in operating the drilling rig and maintaining the drill floor. This role is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of drilling activities in our mining and exploration projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the driller in all drilling operations, including running and pulling drill pipe, casing, and other equipment.
- Maintain the drill floor in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Operate and maintain drilling equipment, including pumps, hoists, and rotary tables.
- Monitor drilling parameters and report any deviations to the driller.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling machinery and tools.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures, including lockout/tagout.
- Participate in pre-job safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Handle and store drilling consumables and materials.
- Assist in the preparation and dismantling of the drilling rig.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of drilling activities.
