Job Description

Role Summary: The Desktop Engineer will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktop hardware and software across the organization. This role ensures that end-users have reliable and efficient access to IT resources, supporting the smooth operation of MakeMyTrip's travel services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems (Windows, macOS) and desktop applications.
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues via remote and in-person assistance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems, including desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Perform regular system maintenance, including updates, patches, and security configurations.
- Deploy and manage desktop images and software packages.
- Monitor system performance and identify potential issues.
- Document technical procedures and support solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of desktop systems with the broader IT infrastructure.
- Assist with asset management and inventory tracking of IT equipment.
