Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Desktop Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of desktop hardware and software across the organization. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our end-user computing environment, supporting our mission-critical healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems (Windows, macOS) and application software on desktop and laptop computers.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues reported by end-users.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Perform regular system maintenance, including patching, updates, and security configurations.
- Deploy and manage desktop imaging and deployment tools.
- Monitor system performance and identify potential issues.
- Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.
- Document technical procedures and user guides.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
