Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Desktop Engineer to join our IT team. The Desktop Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop hardware, software, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction across our hotel properties in India. This role requires a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems (Windows, macOS) and software applications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Perform regular system maintenance, including patching and updates.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software failures.
- Set up and manage printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
- Assist with the deployment and management of desktop imaging and deployment tools.
- Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain IT security policies.
- Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely resolution to end-user issues.
- Maintain an inventory of IT hardware and software assets.
