Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Desktop Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our IT team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining, and improving our desktop infrastructure to ensure seamless operations. This role requires a strong understanding of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, along with excellent problem-solving abilities. A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone, email, or in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop operating system and application problems.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Perform regular system maintenance, including updates, patches, and backups.
- Deploy new hardware and software solutions.
- Document IT procedures, solutions, and configurations.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards.
