Role Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and technically proficient Desktop Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our IT team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will possess a BBA/BBM degree and will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktop hardware and software systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure supporting our food processing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems (Windows, macOS) and application software on desktop computers and laptops.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues reported by end-users.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within the Active Directory environment.
- Perform regular system maintenance, including updates, patches, and security configurations.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware failures, including PCs, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Assist in the deployment and management of new hardware and software.
- Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards.
- Support IT asset management, including inventory tracking and disposal.
