Diagnostic Molecular Scientist

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diagnostic Molecular Scientist to join our innovative team. This role will be crucial in developing and implementing advanced molecular diagnostic assays and technologies, potentially for quality control, material science applications, or research and development within the packaging and containers industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, genetics, and assay development, with a keen interest in applying these skills to solve complex challenges in material integrity and product safety.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop, validate, and optimize molecular diagnostic assays for various applications relevant to packaging materials and product safety.
* Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, DNA/RNA extraction, sequencing, and other relevant assays.
* Analyze and interpret molecular data, generate reports, and present findings to cross-functional teams.
* Collaborate with R&D, quality control, and product development teams to identify and address molecular-related challenges.
* Stay abreast of the latest advancements in molecular diagnostics, biotechnology, and their potential applications in the packaging industry.
* Maintain laboratory equipment, manage inventory of reagents, and ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and regulatory standards.
* Contribute to the design and execution of experiments to assess material authenticity, detect contaminants, or study material degradation at a molecular level.
* Troubleshoot assay performance and identify root causes of issues.
* Assist in the development of intellectual property and scientific publications.
