Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and legally astute Distribution System Designer with 3-5 years of experience to join our team in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing efficient distribution systems within the ports and shipping sector, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and contractual obligations. A strong understanding of legal frameworks pertaining to logistics and trade will be crucial for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop efficient distribution network strategies for port operations, considering cargo flow, inventory management, and transportation logistics.
- Analyze existing distribution systems to identify bottlenecks and propose improvements for enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all distribution system designs comply with Indian maritime laws, customs regulations, and international trade agreements.
- Draft and review legal agreements, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) related to logistics and distribution operations.
- Collaborate with legal, operations, and supply chain teams to interpret regulatory requirements and implement them in system designs.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new distribution channels and infrastructure projects.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including process flows, operational manuals, and compliance reports.
- Stay updated on changes in transportation laws, port regulations, and trade policies that may impact distribution systems.
