Dock Master

Role Summary: The Dock Master will be responsible for overseeing and managing all activities within the company's warehouse dock area. This includes ensuring efficient loading and unloading of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating with logistics partners, and upholding safety standards. The Dock Master plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of our supply chain and timely delivery of furniture and furnishing products to our customers across India.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the warehouse dock, including receiving, shipping, and staging of goods.

Ensure accurate and timely unloading of inbound shipments and loading of outbound shipments.

Verify incoming and outgoing inventory against purchase orders and shipping manifests.

Manage dock scheduling and appointment setting for carriers.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the dock area, adhering to all safety regulations.

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, truck drivers, and other stakeholders.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to dock operations, such as damaged goods or discrepancies.

Assist in inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
