Document Controller - Iron & Steel (3-5 Yrs Exp)

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Document Controller with 3-5 years of experience to join our team in the Iron & Steel sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining all project-related documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely distribution. This role is crucial for maintaining project integrity and facilitating smooth operations within our dynamic environment. While a formal degree is not a prerequisite, a strong understanding of document management principles and attention to detail is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, log, and distribute all incoming and outgoing project documents, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence.
- Maintain a systematic filing and archiving system for all project documentation, both electronic and hard copy.
- Ensure all documents are reviewed, approved, and updated according to project procedures and quality standards.
- Track the status of documents and respond to inquiries regarding document availability and revisions.
- Prepare and issue document transmittals and maintain records of all outgoing documents.
- Support project teams by providing access to the latest versions of documents.
- Assist in the preparation of project close-out documentation.
- Adhere to company policies and project-specific document control requirements.
- Identify and report any deviations or non-compliance in document handling procedures.
