Dredge Master / Mate

Role Summary: The Dredge Master / Mate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of dredging vessels, ensuring compliance with all maritime regulations and company policies. This role requires strong leadership, navigational expertise, and a thorough understanding of dredging operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of dredging operations, including vessel navigation, positioning, and equipment deployment.

Ensure the safety of the crew, vessel, and environment during all dredging activities.

Maintain accurate logs of dredging operations, including material extracted, depths achieved, and operational parameters.

Supervise and train deck crew, ensuring adherence to operational procedures and safety standards.

Coordinate with onshore personnel and other vessels for efficient project execution.

Perform navigational duties, including chart plotting, radar operation, and collision avoidance.

Conduct regular inspections of the vessel and dredging equipment, reporting any defects or maintenance needs.

Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime laws, regulations, and company safety protocols.
