Dredge Master / Mate

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Dredge Master or Mate to oversee and manage dredging operations for our facility management projects in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of dredging equipment, ensuring compliance with all maritime and environmental regulations, and contributing to the successful completion of dredging tasks within our diverse client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct the crew of a dredging vessel, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
• Operate dredging equipment (e.g., cutter suction dredgers, grab dredgers) in accordance with operational plans and safety procedures.
• Maintain the vessel and dredging equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and conducting routine inspections and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime laws, regulations, and environmental standards.
• Plan and execute dredging projects, including site surveys, material estimation, and progress monitoring.
• Manage vessel navigation, anchoring, and mooring operations.
• Oversee the safe loading and unloading of dredged materials.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of operations, crew activities, and equipment performance.
• Communicate effectively with onshore management, clients, and regulatory bodies.
• Respond to emergencies and implement contingency plans as needed.
