Dredging Superintendent

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Dredging Superintendent to oversee and manage all dredging operations at our manufacturing facility. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our water-based infrastructure, which is integral to our cooling systems and waste management processes. The Dredging Superintendent will be responsible for planning, executing, and supervising dredging activities to maintain optimal water levels and flow, ensuring uninterrupted production and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive dredging plans and schedules based on operational needs and environmental regulations.
- Supervise and manage a team of dredge operators, technicians, and support staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Operate and maintain dredging equipment, including but not limited to, cutter suction dredgers, grab dredgers, and associated pumping systems.
- Monitor water levels, sediment accumulation, and water quality in reservoirs, canals, and discharge areas.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national environmental regulations pertaining to dredging and spoil disposal.
- Conduct regular inspections of dredging equipment and infrastructure to identify and address potential issues or maintenance needs.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables for dredging operations.
- Prepare detailed reports on dredging activities, including progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as operations, maintenance, and environmental health and safety (EHS), to ensure seamless integration of dredging activities.
- Implement best practices in dredging to maximize efficiency and minimize environmental impact.
