Role Summary: The Due Diligence Analyst will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of potential projects, partners, and existing operations within the water treatment and waste management sectors in India for a foreign multinational corporation. This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and operational efficiencies specific to the Indian context. The analyst will play a crucial role in identifying risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough due diligence on potential acquisition targets, joint venture partners, and key suppliers in the Indian water and wastewater sector.
Analyze financial statements, operational performance, and legal/regulatory compliance of target entities.
Evaluate market trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities within India's water treatment and waste management industries.
Assess environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities associated with potential investments.
Prepare detailed due diligence reports, including findings, risk assessments, and recommendations for senior management.
Collaborate with legal, financial, and technical teams to gather information and validate findings.
Monitor and assess compliance with Indian environmental regulations and water quality standards.
Provide insights into the local business environment, cultural nuances, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
