Job Description
Role Summary: The EHS Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental, health, and safety programs within Bata India's manufacturing facilities and operations. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, promoting a safe working environment, and minimizing environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national environmental and safety regulations.
- Manage waste disposal and pollution control measures.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees.
- Maintain EHS records and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor occupational health and safety conditions.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate EHS considerations into all operational activities.
