EHS Officer - Investment Banking / Venture Capital / Private Equity (2-3 Yrs Exp)

Role Summary: We are seeking an EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Officer with 2-3 years of experience to join our team in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will have an M.Com degree and a strong understanding of EHS regulations and best practices within the corporate sector, particularly in the financial services industry. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures in line with company objectives and regulatory requirements.

Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

Oversee the maintenance of safety equipment and ensure compliance with emergency preparedness plans.

Organize and conduct EHS training programs for employees to promote a strong safety culture.

Investigate EHS incidents, accidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and proposing preventive measures.

Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety legislation and standards.

Maintain EHS records and documentation, including incident logs, inspection reports, and training records.

Collaborate with HR and other departments to integrate EHS practices into overall business operations.

Stay updated on current EHS trends, regulations, and best practices in the financial services sector.
