Electrical Engineer (Mining)

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer with a specialization in mining operations to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all electrical systems and infrastructure within our mining facilities, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles as applied to the unique demands of the mining sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain electrical systems for mining equipment and infrastructure, including power distribution, motor controls, and lighting.
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all electrical machinery and equipment in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and mine operations personnel, to integrate electrical solutions.
• Manage electrical projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution, from conception to completion.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and mining technology, and recommend improvements.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and drawings related to electrical systems.
