Job Description

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technician to join our state-of-the-art neurophysiology department. The EEG Technician will be responsible for performing electroencephalographic recordings on patients to aid in the diagnosis and management of neurological disorders. This role involves operating specialized equipment, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and accurately documenting findings for review by neurologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for EEG procedures, including explaining the process and ensuring they are comfortable.
  • Apply electrodes to the patient's scalp according to established protocols, ensuring proper placement and conductivity.
  • Operate EEG equipment to record brain activity, monitoring the patient throughout the procedure.
  • Identify and troubleshoot any technical issues with the EEG equipment or electrode application.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including procedure notes, observations, and any relevant clinical information.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, sterilizing equipment as per hospital guidelines.
  • Collaborate with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
