Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Department Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Emergency Department Nurse will provide immediate and critical care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies. This role requires a high level of skill, quick decision-making, and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient conditions rapidly and accurately upon arrival in the ED.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing wound care, and managing vital signs.
- Initiate and monitor intravenous (IV) therapies and administer emergency medications as prescribed.
- Perform basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care in a timely manner.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
