Endocrinologist

Role Summary:
ONGC is seeking a qualified and experienced Endocrinologist to join our medical services team. The Endocrinologist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of endocrine disorders for our employees and their dependents, ensuring optimal health and well-being within our workforce. This role is crucial in providing specialized medical care in a corporate setting, particularly for employees working in demanding operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, including patient history, physical examinations, and review of laboratory and imaging results to diagnose endocrine conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, pituitary and adrenal conditions, osteoporosis, and other hormonal imbalances.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including insulin, thyroid hormones, corticosteroids, and other endocrine therapies.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing patient education and counseling.
- Interpret and correlate diagnostic tests such as blood glucose monitoring, HbA1c, thyroid function tests, bone density scans, and hormone level assays.
- Manage acute and chronic endocrine emergencies.
- Collaborate with other medical specialists, including general practitioners, cardiologists, and neurologists, to provide integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in health awareness programs and provide expert advice on lifestyle modifications related to endocrine health.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements, research, and best practices in endocrinology.
