Job Description

Role Summary:
The Engagement Manager will be responsible for managing and nurturing key relationships with government and public sector clients, ensuring successful implementation and adoption of NPCI's payment solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and project management skills to drive impactful engagements and contribute to the digital transformation initiatives within the public administration sector in India.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in government ministries, departments, and public sector undertakings.
- Understand client needs and translate them into actionable project plans and solution proposals.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of client engagements, from initial scoping and planning to implementation, rollout, and post-implementation support.
- Collaborate with internal technical, product, and operations teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and status updates with clients, addressing concerns and identifying opportunities for further collaboration.
- Drive the adoption and usage of NPCI's payment products and services among government entities.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes relevant to public sector payments and provide insights to clients and internal teams.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with client engagements.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and knowledge sharing within the engagement management team.

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) was incorporated in December 2008 as an umbrella organization for operating retail payments and settlement systems in India. It is an initiative of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Indian Banks' Association (IBA). NPCI is a not-for-profit organization registered under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 (now Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013). NPCI aims to be the most preferred payment network in India, offering a wide range of products and services that are secure, reliable, and convenient.
