Engine Fitter / Welder - 3-5 Yrs Experience

Role Summary:
Eventela is seeking a skilled and experienced Engine Fitter / Welder to join our dynamic team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical equipment and structures used in live events and entertainment setups. This role requires a strong understanding of engine mechanics, welding techniques, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the safety and functionality of our event infrastructure. Candidates with a postgraduate degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble, install, and maintain engines and mechanical systems for event equipment (e.g., generators, lighting rigs, stage machinery).

Perform welding and fabrication tasks on metal structures and components according to technical drawings and specifications.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and engine-related issues, implementing timely and effective repairs.

Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment.

Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including welding equipment, grinders, and wrenches.

Collaborate with event production teams to ensure timely setup and dismantling of equipment.
