Role Summary: The Environmental Consultant will be responsible for advising the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and impact assessments related to its operations and infrastructure development within India. This role requires a deep understanding of Indian environmental regulations and best practices in the security sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for new CRPF projects and infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with all relevant Indian environmental laws, regulations, and policies (e.g., Environmental Protection Act, Forest Conservation Act).
Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs) for CRPF facilities and operations.
Advise on waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation strategies.
Monitor environmental performance and prepare regular reports for CRPF leadership.
Provide training and awareness programs on environmental best practices to CRPF personnel.
Stay updated on emerging environmental issues and technologies relevant to law enforcement and security operations.
Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders on environmental matters.
About CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force)
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the primary central police force of the Union of India for assisting civil administration in maintaining law and order and combating terrorism. It is one of the largest paramilitary forces in the world. Established in 1939 as the Crown Representative's Police, it was renamed the Central Reserve Police Force on 28th December 1949. The CRPF plays a vital role in internal security, disaster management, and counter-insurgency operations across India.
