Environmental Consultant

Role Summary: The Environmental Consultant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, developing and implementing environmental management strategies, and promoting sustainable practices within Syngene's operations in India. This role requires a strong understanding of environmental science, policy, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for new projects and expansions.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor environmental performance, including air and water quality, waste management, and emissions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Indian environmental laws, regulations, and permits.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for environmental improvement and sustainability initiatives.
• Provide training and awareness programs on environmental best practices to employees.
• Manage environmental audits and inspections.
• Prepare environmental reports and documentation for internal and external use.
