Role Summary:
MTR Foods is seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, developing and implementing sustainability initiatives, and managing waste reduction programs within our manufacturing facilities. This role is crucial in upholding our commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable practices in the FMCG sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental management systems (EMS) in accordance with ISO 14001 standards.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and permits.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for new projects and operational changes.
- Manage and oversee waste management programs, including segregation, recycling, and disposal.
- Identify opportunities for pollution prevention and resource conservation (water, energy).
- Develop and deliver environmental training programs for employees.
- Investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into business operations.
