Environmental Engineer

Role Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, developing and implementing environmental management systems, and promoting sustainable practices within our power generation and distribution operations across India. This role requires a strong understanding of environmental science, engineering principles, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the power sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for new projects and existing operations.
• Monitor environmental parameters (air quality, water quality, noise levels, waste management) and ensure compliance with statutory norms.
• Manage environmental permits and licenses, and liaise with regulatory authorities.
• Investigate environmental incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Promote environmental awareness and provide training to employees.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
• Stay updated with the latest environmental regulations, technologies, and best practices in the power industry.
