Job Description
Role Summary: The Environmental Officer will be responsible for ensuring BYJU'S operations in India comply with all environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices. This role involves developing and implementing environmental policies, monitoring environmental impact, and driving initiatives to reduce the company's ecological footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage environmental policies and procedures in line with Indian environmental laws and company sustainability goals.
- Conduct regular environmental audits and risk assessments across all BYJU'S facilities in India.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance, including waste management, energy consumption, and emissions.
- Investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and external stakeholders on environmental matters.
- Promote environmental awareness and training programs for employees.
- Identify opportunities for environmental improvement and cost savings through sustainable practices.
