Environmental Officer

Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Officer to join our team. The Environmental Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations and company policies, implementing environmental management systems, and promoting sustainable practices across our operations. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to environmental stewardship and minimizing our ecological footprint.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage the company's environmental management system (EMS) in accordance with ISO 14001 standards.
- Monitor and assess environmental performance, including air emissions, water discharge, waste management, and energy consumption.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable national, state, and local environmental laws, regulations, and permits.
- Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections to identify potential risks and non-compliance issues.
- Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver environmental training programs for employees.
- Investigate environmental incidents, accidents, and complaints, and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal in an environmentally sound manner.
- Identify opportunities for pollution prevention, resource conservation, and sustainability initiatives.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, external consultants, and other stakeholders on environmental matters.
- Stay updated on emerging environmental trends, technologies, and regulations relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
