Equipment Management Specialist

Role Summary: The Equipment Management Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of construction equipment within L&T's projects across India. This includes planning, procurement, maintenance, utilization, and disposal of all heavy machinery and vehicles to ensure operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive equipment management strategies and policies.

Oversee the procurement, leasing, and allocation of construction equipment based on project requirements.

Establish and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

Monitor equipment utilization rates and identify opportunities for optimization.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards related to equipment operation and maintenance.

Manage equipment inventory, including tracking, tagging, and condition assessment.

Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.

Develop and manage the equipment budget, including operational costs, maintenance expenses, and capital expenditures.

Analyze equipment performance data and generate reports for management.

Manage the disposal of obsolete or surplus equipment in accordance with company policy.
