Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fashion Designer with 1-2 years of experience and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree to join our dynamic Import & Export team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will leverage their analytical and research skills, honed through their LLM studies, to contribute to the design and sourcing of fashion products for international markets. This role requires a unique blend of creative vision and an understanding of legal and compliance aspects relevant to global trade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the conceptualization and development of fashion collections, considering current trends and market demands for import and export.
- Conduct thorough market research and trend forecasting, analyzing global fashion landscapes and consumer preferences.
- Collaborate with sourcing teams to identify and vet international suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards and ethical practices.
- Review and understand international trade regulations, import/export laws, and compliance requirements related to textiles and apparel.
- Prepare design specifications, technical packs, and material sourcing documents.
- Communicate effectively with overseas partners and stakeholders regarding design briefs, approvals, and production timelines.
- Contribute to the negotiation of contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and adherence to legal frameworks.
- Analyze product performance data and customer feedback to inform future design decisions.
- Maintain a strong understanding of fabric properties, garment construction, and manufacturing processes relevant to international production.
