Fire Guard

Role Summary:
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Fire Guard to ensure the safety and security of our facilities and personnel by preventing and responding to fire hazards within our pulp and paper manufacturing plant. The Fire Guard will be instrumental in maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of the plant premises to identify and report potential fire hazards, such as flammable materials, electrical faults, and unsafe practices.
- Monitor fire detection and suppression systems to ensure they are in good working order.
- Respond promptly to fire alarms and emergencies, taking appropriate action to control and extinguish fires as trained.
- Assist in the evacuation of personnel during emergencies and account for all individuals.
- Maintain fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, hoses, and alarm systems, ensuring they are accessible and functional.
- Enforce fire safety regulations and company policies among employees and visitors.
- Keep detailed records of fire safety inspections, incidents, and drills.
- Participate in fire safety training programs and drills to maintain proficiency.
- Collaborate with the safety department and emergency services when necessary.
- Ensure clear access for emergency vehicles and personnel.
