Role Summary: The First Purser is responsible for the overall management and supervision of onboard services and passenger comfort during train journeys. This role ensures smooth operations, adherence to safety standards, and excellent customer service for all passengers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all onboard passenger services, including catering, ticketing, and accommodation.
- Supervise and lead the onboard crew, assigning duties and ensuring performance standards are met.
- Handle passenger inquiries, complaints, and requests efficiently and professionally.
- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and security of the passenger coaches.
- Manage onboard inventory and supplies, including food, beverages, and linens.
- Coordinate with station staff and other railway departments for seamless operations.
- Prepare and submit reports on onboard services, passenger feedback, and any incidents.
- Ensure compliance with all railway rules, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Manage emergency situations and provide necessary assistance to passengers.
