Fitter / Turner

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter / Turner to join our facilities and maintenance team. The Fitter / Turner will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of mechanical components and equipment used across our various operational sites. This role requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and install mechanical parts and assemblies according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision metal parts.
- Fit and assemble components and sub-assemblies, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Use measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
- Weld, cut, and shape metal as required for fabrication and repair.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians on project requirements and problem-solving.
