Fitter / Turner

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter / Turner to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing precision metal parts and machinery used in our FMCG production lines. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in operating various machine tools, and a strong understanding of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan machining operations.
- Set up and operate conventional, precision, and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.
- Fabricate, fit, and assemble precision metal parts and components according to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Inspect finished workpieces for defects and ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards.
- Select appropriate materials, tools, and machines for specific tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues on the production floor.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers and other production staff to ensure efficient operation of machinery.
