Fitter / Turner (MCA Required) - Kolkata

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fitter / Turner with 1-3 years of experience for our printing and publishing operations in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will possess an MCA degree and a strong understanding of precision fitting and turning techniques. This role is crucial for maintaining and fabricating components for our high-speed printing machinery, ensuring operational efficiency and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.

Set up, operate, and maintain various machine shop tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.

Fabricate, fit, and assemble parts and components for printing presses and related equipment with high precision.

Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of machinery and equipment.

Troubleshoot and identify mechanical issues, proposing and implementing effective solutions.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to achieve project goals.

Utilize basic computer skills for record-keeping and potentially for operating CNC machines if applicable.
