Fleet / Transport Manager

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and diligent Fleet / Transport Manager to oversee and optimize the logistics and transportation operations for our Indian subsidiary. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient, safe, and timely movement of raw materials, finished goods, and personnel across our supply chain, supporting our extensive retail and manufacturing network within India. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fleet management, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive fleet management strategies to ensure optimal vehicle utilization and efficiency.
• Manage all aspects of the company's vehicle fleet, including procurement, maintenance, repair, insurance, and disposal.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor the daily transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards in India.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and vendors.
• Optimize transportation routes and schedules to minimize costs and delivery times.
• Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, including fuel consumption, mileage, maintenance schedules, and driver logs.
• Implement and monitor safety programs for drivers and vehicles, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Manage and motivate a team of drivers and logistics staff.
• Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, costs, and efficiency for senior management.
