Fleet / Transport Manager

Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fleet / Transport Manager to oversee and optimize our transportation and logistics operations for our agrochemical distribution network across India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient delivery of raw materials and finished goods, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the company's fleet of trucks and other transport vehicles, ensuring optimal operational efficiency.
• Plan and coordinate daily transportation activities, including route planning, scheduling, and load optimization.
• Ensure timely and safe delivery of agrochemical products to various distribution centers and customer locations.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, repairs, and servicing to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to fleet management and transportation.
• Monitor fuel consumption, implement cost-saving measures, and manage operational budgets.
• Ensure compliance with all Indian transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards, including those specific to hazardous materials.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and suppliers.
• Utilize fleet management software for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
• Train and supervise drivers and other transportation staff.
