Food Safety Officer

Role Summary: The Food Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all food-related operations within the company's facilities, including canteens, cafeterias, and any food handling areas, adhere to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This role is crucial for maintaining a healthy and safe environment for all employees and visitors, aligning with Havells' commitment to employee well-being and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive food safety policies and procedures in line with FSSAI regulations and international best practices.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of all food service areas, including kitchens, storage, and serving points, to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
• Monitor food procurement, storage, preparation, and serving processes to prevent contamination and ensure food quality.
• Manage pest control programs and waste disposal procedures for all food-related areas.
• Train food handlers and staff on proper hygiene practices, food safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
• Investigate any food safety incidents, customer complaints, or outbreaks, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Stay updated with the latest food safety regulations, scientific advancements, and industry trends.
• Collaborate with HR and facility management teams to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
