Role Summary:
NSIC is seeking a creative and skilled Footwear Designer to conceptualize and develop innovative footwear designs that align with the organization's brand and functional requirements. The designer will be responsible for the entire design process, from initial sketching to final product development, ensuring aesthetic appeal, comfort, and adherence to quality standards. This role is crucial for enhancing the product offerings and meeting the diverse needs of our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop original footwear concepts and designs through sketching, digital rendering, and mood boards.
- Research current fashion trends, market demands, and competitor activities to inform design decisions.
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing, including material selection, construction methods, and colorways.
- Collaborate with product development teams, material suppliers, and manufacturing partners to ensure designs are feasible and meet quality standards.
- Oversee the prototyping and sample development process, providing feedback and making necessary revisions.
- Ensure designs are cost-effective and meet the target price points.
- Present design concepts and final products to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong understanding of footwear materials, manufacturing processes, and industry best practices.
