Job Description
Role Summary: We are seeking a diligent and skilled Foreman/Technician to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our smart farming installations and equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our technology-driven agricultural systems, leading a small team, and performing essential maintenance and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide a team of field technicians and farm workers.
- Operate and maintain IoT sensors, automated irrigation systems, and other smart farming equipment.
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on all farm technology.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software of the smart farming systems.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices on the farm.
- Collect and record data from various sensors and systems for analysis.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new agricultural technology.
- Communicate effectively with the management team regarding operational status and challenges.
