Forklift Operator

Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and store materials within our manufacturing and warehouse facilities. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., counterbalanced, reach trucks) to move pallets, boxes, and other materials within the facility.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement and securing of goods.
- Transport materials to and from production areas, warehouses, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated storage areas, maintaining clear aisles and safe stacking heights.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and government regulations related to forklift operation and material handling.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory as required.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking activities.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with warehouse and production staff to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of material requests.
