Forklift Operator

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Forklift Operator with a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree and 2-6 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory. This role requires a unique blend of analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong understanding of logistics within the power industry. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and components within our facilities, contributing to the overall efficiency of our renewable energy operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials, equipment, and finished goods within the company premises.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any defects or issues.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper stacking and securing of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement, including receiving, shipping, and internal transfers, using company systems.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in inventory management tasks, including cycle counting and stocktaking, to ensure accuracy.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or operational inefficiencies to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize material flow and storage.
- Utilize analytical skills developed through an M.A. degree to interpret inventory data and suggest process improvements.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse and surrounding areas.
