Global Maritime Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced FPGA Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, verification, and implementation of FPGA-based solutions for our next-generation port automation and vessel tracking systems. This role involves working with complex hardware and software architectures, contributing to critical projects that enhance efficiency and safety in the shipping industry.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement digital logic using VHDL or Verilog for FPGA devices.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test benches and verification strategies.
• Integrate FPGA designs with embedded systems and software components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and systems engineers.
• Troubleshoot and debug hardware and firmware issues.
• Contribute to the full product development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in FPGA design and development using VHDL or Verilog.
• Strong understanding of digital logic design principles and computer architecture.
• Experience with FPGA development tools (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus).
• Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, Ethernet).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in the ports or shipping industry is a plus.
