Full-Time Cost Accountant (2-4 Yrs)

We are seeking a motivated Cost Accountant with 2-4 years of experience and a Master of Design (M.Des) degree to join our finance team in Chennai. This role is crucial for analyzing and managing product costs, optimizing manufacturing processes, and contributing to financial planning within the automotive sector. The ideal candidate will leverage their design thinking and analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze manufacturing costs, overheads, and variances to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.

Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and methodologies, including standard costing, activity-based costing (ABC), and variance analysis.

Collaborate with design and engineering teams to assess the cost implications of new product designs and manufacturing processes.

Prepare cost reports, budget forecasts, and financial analyses for management review.

Assist in inventory valuation and control processes.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives by applying design thinking principles to financial operations.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
