Job Description
Role Summary: The Gastroenterologist will be responsible for providing specialized medical care related to the digestive system for employees within the security and intelligence services sector. This role requires a deep understanding of gastrointestinal diseases and conditions, with a focus on preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment within a corporate healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, including but not limited to GERD, ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), liver diseases, and gastrointestinal cancers.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as upper endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and capsule endoscopy.
- Interpret results from diagnostic tests, including biopsies, blood work, and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle recommendations, and surgical referrals when necessary.
- Provide patient education on gastrointestinal health, disease prevention, and management strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians and surgeons, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements and best practices in gastroenterology.
