Job Description
Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Geo Technician to join our dynamic logistics operations team in India. The Geo Technician will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of geographical data used in our routing, delivery, and network planning systems. This role is crucial for optimizing our delivery routes, improving efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, process, and analyze geospatial data from various sources, including satellite imagery, GPS data, and existing maps.
- Update and maintain our geographic information system (GIS) databases with accurate street-level data, points of interest, and delivery zones.
- Perform quality checks on geospatial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in geographic data that may impact routing and delivery operations.
- Collaborate with the routing and operations teams to provide insights and support for network optimization and expansion.
- Develop and implement procedures for data collection and validation.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in GIS and geospatial data analysis.
- Prepare reports and visualizations of geospatial data for management review.
