Role Summary:
Morphogenesis is seeking a skilled Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and visualizing spatial data to support our architectural and urban planning projects. This role involves leveraging GIS technologies to provide insights into site analysis, environmental factors, demographic trends, and infrastructure, thereby informing design decisions and enhancing project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, process, and manage geospatial data from various sources (e.g., satellite imagery, aerial photography, survey data, open data portals).
- Perform spatial analysis to identify patterns, trends, and relationships relevant to architectural and urban design projects.
- Develop and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
- Create thematic maps, reports, and visualizations to communicate spatial information effectively to design teams and stakeholders.
- Conduct site suitability analysis, environmental impact assessments, and demographic studies using GIS tools.
- Integrate GIS data with other project-related information (e.g., CAD drawings, BIM models).
- Stay updated with the latest GIS technologies, software, and methodologies.
- Collaborate with architects, urban planners, and other project team members to understand their spatial data needs and provide solutions.
- Develop and implement GIS workflows and best practices within the firm.
