Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in leveraging spatial data and GIS technologies to support various banking operations, risk assessment, and strategic planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GIS principles and their application within the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and analyze spatial databases for branch locations, customer demographics, and market analysis.
- Create thematic maps, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights on geographic trends and patterns relevant to banking operations.
- Utilize GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial analysis, geocoding, and data manipulation.
- Integrate GIS data with other business intelligence tools and datasets to enhance decision-making.
- Conduct site suitability analysis for new branch openings and ATM deployments.
- Support risk management by analyzing geographic factors impacting loan portfolios and fraud detection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and risk management, to address spatial data needs.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in GIS technology and their potential applications in the banking industry.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all GIS-related activities.
